Hi, I’m Jocelyn
I know what it feels like to love your kids deeply… and still lose your patience in the moments that matter most.
Years ago, I found myself stuck in the same cycle so many parents experience — overwhelm, frustration, yelling, and then the heavy guilt that followed.
I remember one moment clearly.
My toddler had been climbing on the kitchen cabinets all morning. I’d asked him to stop again and again, and eventually I put him in timeout because that’s what I thought I was supposed to do.
But the moment I did, something didn’t feel right.
Instead of teaching my child anything, it left us both feeling disconnected.
Not long after, life became even more intense. I had a newborn, I was exhausted, and one day in the middle of the chaos I completely lost my cool.
The guilt hit instantly.
I remember sitting there thinking:
There has to be a better way to parent than this.
So I started searching for answers.
When my eldest was around three years old, I began studying peaceful parenting, gentle parenting, and mindful parenting more deeply.
I spent years researching, learning, and applying these approaches in my own home — discovering what actually worked in real life — not just in theory.
I practiced these tools daily with my own children and with the families I cared for, refining the strategies that helped reduce power struggles, strengthen connection, and bring more calm into the home.
Over time, everything began to shift.
Our home became calmer.
Power struggles reduced.
And I finally felt like the parent I had always wanted to be.
As I continued learning and practicing these approaches, I began supporting other parents in my local community through gentle parenting classes and nature playgroups.
What started as a personal journey slowly grew into something much bigger.
I later went on to formally study early childhood education and become a parenting coach, so I could help more families learn the tools I wish I had from the beginning.
More recently, I spent two years working closely with autistic children, deepening my understanding of neurodivergent needs so I could better support families raising neurodivergent kids.
