Â
Stop guessing your way through bedtime.
Figure out what’s really driving your child’s bedtime battles — and know what to change so evenings feel calmer, more predictable and a whole lot less exhausting.
For parents of 2–7 year olds who are DONE with the stalling, meltdowns, getting out of bed and “just one more thing…” every single night.
You’ve done bath.
Pajamas.
Teeth.
Stories.
Water.
The cuddle.
And somehow… your child is still not in bed.
They need another drink.
Their blanket is wrong.
They suddenly remember something VERY important.
Or the second you say, “Okay, it’s bedtime now,” everything falls apart.
And by this point in the day?
You have absolutely nothing left.
So you repeat yourself.
You negotiate.
You get firmer.
Maybe you yell.
Maybe you give in because you just need bedtime to be OVER.
And afterwards you’re left thinking…
Why is bedtime this hard every single night?
Here’s what most bedtime advice misses:
Bedtime resistance isn’t one problem.
Your child might be overtired.
Under-tired.
Overstimulated.
Craving connection.
Struggling to separate from you.
Adjusting to a nap change.
Testing a boundary.
Feeling scared.
Or there might be a few things happening at once.
Which is why simply being told to “stick to the routine” doesn’t always fix it.
You need to know what’s driving the problem for YOUR child.
That’s where Better Bedtimes comes in.

Here’s How We’ll Make Bedtime Easier
Â
Module 1 — Find the Root Cause
Stop guessing and work out what may actually be driving your child’s bedtime battles — so you know what needs to change first.
Module 2 — Set Bedtime Up for Success
Create a calmer lead-up to sleep so you can prevent more of the resistance before bedtime even begins.
Module 3 — Calm Their Body + Brain
Help a tired, wired or emotional child move from GO-GO-GO into a state where sleep is actually possible.
Module 4 — Navigate Sleep Changes
Handle nap changes, moving beds, parental preference and other sleep transitions with more confidence and less resistance.
Module 5 — Troubleshoot the Hard Stuff
Know what to try when bedtime, night waking or early rising still isn’t going to plan.
Â
You’ll also get help with things like:
- getting out of bed over and over
- endless stalling and “one more…”
- dropping naps
- parental preference
- night waking and early rising
- fears and nightmares
- moving from cot to bed
- reducing parental presence
- bedtime with siblings
- helping a wired child wind down
You’re not getting one rigid routine and being told to make your child fit it.
You’re learning how to understand your child, your bedtime and what needs attention first.
This Is One of the Reasons I Created Better Bedtimes
When Cat came to me for private coaching, bedtime had become exhausting.
Bedtime was long and drawn out.
Her 2.5 year old daughter was waking multiple times through the night.
And no one in the family was getting the sleep they needed.
Her 2.5 year old was having multiple tantrums a day.Â
From the outside, it would have been easy to focus on the obvious problem:
How do we get her to stay in bed and sleep?
But when we stepped back and looked at the whole picture, we realised something important.
London was overtired.
Once Cat made changes based on what was actually driving the problem, bedtime became easier and London started sleeping through the night.
Working with Cat was one of many conversations with parents that inspired me to create Better Bedtimes.
I wanted parents to have a way to step back from the nightly chaos and ask:
What is actually driving this for my child?
That’s exactly what we do inside Module 1.
Because when we only focus on stopping the behaviour, we can completely miss what’s causing it.
And the Answer Won’t Look the Same for Every Family
“It works even when I’m solo.”
For Lisa, mum of three, bedtime felt overwhelming — especially on the nights she was doing it alone with three children while her husband worked FIFO.
There was stalling, endless requests and kids coming out of their rooms again and again.
She was exhausted from ending the day yelling and then feeling awful about it.
Once she had a clearer plan and started meeting some of those needs before bedtime fell apart, evenings became much more manageable.
Â
“A few simple tweaks changed everything.”
Emma’s 2.5-year-old was getting up multiple times through the night and constantly coming out of his room at bedtime.
They were stuck in a loop of walking him back over and over, and it was ending in frustration, yelling and guilt.
Then she made a few changes to his nap and bedtime schedule.
“With just a few simple tweaks to his nap and bedtime schedule, everything changed.”
Bedtime became calmer, and they were finally ending the day on a peaceful note.
Â
“I can hold the boundary without feeling guilty.”
For Sherri, the struggle was boundaries.
Her daughter would ask for one more story.
One more cuddle.
One more minute.
And Sherri felt stuck between wanting to stay kind and connected… and being completely exhausted.
She didn’t know how to hold the boundary without it turning into tears or a power struggle.
Once she learned how to set calm, clear limits around bedtime, everything shifted.
“I’m confident in gently holding the limit without feeling guilty.”
Bedtime became smoother, quicker and far more peaceful.
What You Get Inside Better Bedtimes
Better Bedtimes is completely self-paced, so you can work through it when it suits you.
You do not need to sit down and complete three hours of training before you can start making changes.
Start with what’s happening in your home right now.
You might work through Module 1, identify what’s driving the problem and only need to make one or two changes.
Or you might already know what you’re struggling with and go straight to transitions or troubleshooting.
Inside, you’ll get:
30 Bite-Sized Video Lessons
Around 3 hours of practical teaching broken into short, focused lessons. Watch what you need, when you need it.
Better Bedtimes Workbook
A practical companion to help you apply what you’re learning to your child, your routine and your family.
14-Day Sleep Tracker
Spot patterns around naps, bedtime, wake-ups and sleep that can be easy to miss when you’re exhausted.
Customisable Visual Bedtime Routine
Create more predictability and reduce how many times you have to repeat what’s happening next.
Scripts + Practical Tools
Because knowing the theory is one thing.
Knowing what to actually say at 7:42pm when your child is asking for their fifth drink of water is another.
And you can come back whenever you need to.
Your child is going to change.
Naps will disappear.
Beds will change.
Fears can pop up.
Something that worked beautifully for six months might suddenly need adjusting.
That’s why you’ll have lifetime access to Better Bedtimes.
Come back whenever something changes and use the course to work out what needs tweaking.
You’ll also receive future course updates at no extra cost.
Â
You Don’t Have to Complete the Whole Course
This part is important.
Better Bedtimes is designed to be used, not just watched.
You might start with Module 1, identify what’s driving the problem and realise you only need to make one or two changes.
Or you might already know the issue and go straight to transitions or troubleshooting.
There are around 3 hours of teaching in total, but you do not need to watch all 3 hours before you can start making changes.
Start with what’s happening in your home right now.
Then come back when you need the next piece.
Â
Better Bedtimes Is For You If…
1. Bedtime is taking way too much out of you.
The stalling, getting out of bed, meltdowns, endless requests or night waking are leaving everyone exhausted.
2. You want a gentler way — without giving up your boundaries.
You don’t want to leave your child to cry it out.
But you also don’t want bedtime to involve an hour of negotiating, pleading or giving in.
3. You want a plan that actually fits your child.
Especially if your child is strong-willed, sensitive, highly energetic or struggles with transitions.
Better Bedtimes is designed for parents of children aged 2–7 years old.

Hi, I’m Jocelyn
I’m a mum of two, former early childhood educator and Peaceful Parenting Coach.
For years, I’ve helped parents understand what’s actually happening underneath challenging behaviour — because so often, the behaviour we’re seeing is only the tip of the iceberg.
Bedtime is a perfect example of that.
A child who keeps getting out of bed might look like they’re “not listening.”
A child who melts down at bedtime might look like they’re “being difficult.”
A child who suddenly needs five more cuddles might look like they’re stalling.
But when we slow down and look underneath it, there is usually more going on.
Timing.
Connection.
Overtiredness.
Separation.
Big feelings.
Boundaries.
Transitions.
Sometimes a few of them at once.
That’s why I created Better Bedtimes.
I wanted to take the process I was using with families in my coaching work and turn it into something parents could work through at home, step by step.
So you’re not relying on random tips, hoping tonight might be different.
You can understand what may be driving the problem, make changes with intention, and feel much more confident about what to do when bedtime gets hard.
Ready for Better Bedtimes?
You could keep searching for another bedtime tip tonight.
Change the routine again.
Wonder whether bedtime should be earlier or later.
Try to decide whether you should stay, leave, hold the boundary, offer more connection or just wait for the phase to pass.
Or you can start working out what’s actually happening.
